  • "There is an unusual area of the state that I think anyone who is going to see Florida for all it's worth should see. It is located between St. Augustine Beach and Daytona Beach on A1A and is know as Matanza's by the Spanish. Matanza's means 'slaughter' in the English language and has a rich history, which one can discover for him/herself. Now-a-days there is a great little restaurant on the southern side of the inlet and the fishing is really good from the bridge.
